Cover Love Sunday #8

Cover Love Sunday is a weekly feature hosted at The Quiet Girl Talks, where you choose your 3-5 favorite covers for each weekly theme. Anybody can do it, just check the Features page for themes ahead of time! :)

This week's theme is...
BLACK BACKGROUND!

Slave (Finding Anna, #1)
I haven't read this yet, it an erotica. I like the cover because the stoplight on her, and how she curled up.

Once (Eve, #2)

This one I found today while looking for a cover to share. I love the font of the title. The whole light at the end of the tunnel theme is great. Also love the color of her hair.

Witch & Wizard (Witch & Wizard, #1)The Gift (Witch & Wizard, #2)The Fire (Witch & Wizard, #3)

I like these cover I have a thing for fire blame it on the fact that both my zodiacs elements are a fire. But I love that its the letter of the book title, W for Witch And Wizard, G for Gift, F for Fire. And there's a face in them. I've only read Witch & Wizard so far and really want to get the others. The Latest one that came out doesn't stick to this theme with the cover that's a little upsetting, or atlest I haven't seen it with a fire letter anyway, the latest one is The Kiss.

What are your picks for this week?~

Cover Love Sunday #7

Cover Love Sunday is a weekly feature hosted at The Quiet Girl Talks, where you choose your 3 (or so;)) favorite covers for each weekly theme. Anybody can do it, just check the Features page for themes ahead of time! :)

This week's theme is...
DRESSES!

I personal can not stand to wear to dress I blame it on when I was born everyone gave my mother a dress for me to wear, and so I simply grew tired of them I guess, I'm much more a jeans and men's t-shirt type of girl, lol. However when I do see a nice dress I do admire it.

A Kiss at Midnight (Fairy Tales, #1)

This I thought was a simple yet very elegant I love the colors the cut of the sleeves, this whole cover just screams Cinderella doesn't, well that because it kind of is with an interesting twist. On my want list.

Burning in Water‏ (The Nerita Torlan Trilogy #1)

I love how it just flows and there's nothing to it sometimes the most prettiest dress are the ones that are just that. I love the background too so mystical.

For my last pick now I know I already share this cover before but I thought this cover deserved to be shared since the dress is in a class of its own, being Water.

Teardrop (Teardrop, #1)

You know what I realized while putting this this together 1) I haven't really read a book that the main feature is a dress go figure. And 2) there really haven't been a lot of book that feature a dress until the last year or two, so that might be why about the first thing. All these book are on my want list.

So what are your picks?~

Cover Love Sunday #6

Cover Love Sunday is a weekly feature hosted at The Quiet Girl Talks, where you choose your 3 favorite covers for each weekly theme. Anybody can do it, just check the Features page for themes ahead of time! :)

This week's theme is...
GUY ON THE COVER!

Oh I have been wanting to do this one so much. I get to admire guys on the covers of some great books for a reason, lol. For my first book cover and I have been waiting for an opportunity to use it since I started this meme, fairly recent book very popular throughout booktube, aka youtube, and bloggers alike.

Walking Disaster (Beautiful, #2)
Ok so technically its only that very, very nice bicep and a little of his chest but its VERY clearly a guy, lol. Why I like, ummm, Hello! you'd have to be blind not to like
<<<<<<<<<<  I swoon sometimes just looking at it, I would love to have that arm around me. And then knowing that its 'Travis' of course helps. So other than that I also like the background and the font of the title. Most importantly the tattoo I love that they carried over the butterfly from Beautiful Disaster so that there is a common asset linking to the books. It's also cool how they did half of it as a tattoo and the other not a tattoo and the detail of it, the wavy lines for the tattoo and the beep blue for the 'real' part of the butterfly.

Awakened (House of Night, #8)

Ok so sue me I'm a sucker for tattoo's and biceps. Not to mention the whole dark angel thing going on I love the wings, the dark kinda fog like background, the emblems.

My next one is fully clothed I promise, lol.

Fantasy Lover (Dark-Hunter companion novel)   Can anyone say tall, dark, and from another time period, yum. As promised he's fully clothed and trust me I almost couldn't keep that promise because WOW are there a lot of shirtless guy covers, correction sometimes, sometimes pantless too. *fans myself*         But on to why I like This cover love the colors, leaves you with a mystery.

Who else is drooling, lol. What covers would you pick?~

Cover Love Sunday #5

Cover Love Sunday is a weekly feature hosted at The Quiet Girl Talks, where you choose your 3 favorite covers for each weekly theme. Anybody can do it, just check the Features page for themes ahead of time! :)

This week's theme is...
SIMPLE COVERS!

Simple Covers I love a good simple cover they can speak so much louder sometimes than a more elaborate cover don't you think? A piece of silk, a flower, butterfly, a dagger, or even just a letter even without a lot else going on the background. A simple silk gray tie, hint, hint, I know you know what book I'm talking about with that one.

Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1)  Fifty Shades Darker (Fifty Shades, #2)       Fifty Shades Freed (Fifty Shades, #3)

Yes Fifty Shades...hey their simple covers aren't they, lol. Elaborate reads but simple covers I love that each one has something that you'll see in the book. Christian's oh-so-famous tie, the mask Ana wears to the party, and handcuffs which can actually represent two different happenings in the book one a every sexual scene the other when someone goes to jail. I don't suggest reading them if your single or don't have a 'special' friend though you wont like that frustration, lol.

Ironside (Modern Faerie Tales, #3)
I've read Tithe it was the cover that always attracted me to it whenever I was it however it was hard to get into. I haven't read Valiant or Ironside but do want to I like all the covers but this in is my favorite their all simple this one two though there is a bit of detail in the background but I think it can still pas for simple I love that crown just love it the colors are so vibrant. I read synopsis of this one and Roiben is getting coronated in the faerie realm so its only fitting the theres a crown on the cover.

Cinder (Lunar Chronicles, #1)

I've heard some good things about this book apparently its a future telling retelling of Cinderella I like that theres like a spot light on the leg and  black everywhere else and that you can see in the leg. I also like the font for the title.  The other cover are nice to but thought this one more 'simple'

Well those are my picks this week what are the simple covers you would pick?

Cover Love Sunday #4

Cover Love Sunday is a weekly feature hosted at The Quiet Girl Talks, where you choose your 3 favorite covers for each weekly theme. Anybody can do it, just check the Features page for themes ahead of time! :)

This week's theme is...
YA BOOKS!

This week covers I've picked

The Final Eclipse (Daughters of the Moon, #13)

I like the cover because it's the last in the series I've read the all of them its a good series each cover is similar it has a girl and an element of sorts in the background making each one different but the same this one was pretty much the wrap up book in the series and I think its great that  the cover kind of represents that because as you see theres 6 girls on the cover well those are from the previous books in the Daughters of the Moon series, think goddesses.

The Golden Compass (His Dark Materials, #1)The Subtle Knife (His Dark Materials, #2)The Amber Spyglass (His Dark Materials, #3)

Now the reason I'm showing all three of these cover is not particularly because of the covers themselves, though I do like them there very unique, but with these covers if you turn them on the side you get:
His Dark Materials Trade Paper Boxed Set: The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, The Amber Spyglass (His Dark Materials, #1-3)
I love when a book cover does that when its a trilogy or series and has a picture or words on the spine.

Spells out: His Dark Materials

For my last pick a more recent and popular book at the moment

Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices, #2)
I like the fog which makes the building seem farther away, the clothes really sets the time period, form what I understand Infernal Devices take place the 1700's or 1800's and each cover show that too. What I really like is that this cover is dark there only little slashes of 'light' and the only real 'color' is the gold of the dragon head on the staff, it kinda look like fire it you don't look to closely

There are so many more I could probably share with you as YA books often have the best covers, why, because younger adults look at covers first, its like food with kids, if they see it and like the way it looks they'll pick it up, lol.

Whats your picks?
Hope you enjoyed~

Cover love Sunday #3

Cover Love Sunday is a weekly feature hosted at The Quiet Girl Talks, where you choose your 3 favorite covers for each weekly theme. Anybody can do it, just check the Features page for themes ahead of time! :)

This week's theme is...
FLOWERS!

So I know I missed last weeks which sucks and I'm sorry. This week I'm afraid I don't know of a lot of book covers with flowers but I did manage to find three. One of which we all know:
New Moon (Twilight, #2)

Yep New Moon, simple, yet elegant. Don't really go with the book though.

Ravish: The Awakening of Sleeping Beauty

Erotic take on a sleeping beauty tale. The rose matches her lips, she's laying on silk, its sexy.

Wicked Lovely (Wicked Lovely, #1)

I haven't read this but I like the cover.  You can see by the girls hands the flowers are frosted. I like the border of the title. Theres that kind of dull coloring and the only thing in focus is her hands holding the flowers.

Whats your picks?

Cover Love Sunday #2

Cover Love Sunday is a weekly feature hosted at The Quiet Girl Talks, where you choose your 3 favorite covers for each weekly theme. Anybody can do it, just check the Features page for themes ahead of time! :)

This week's theme is...
GIRL ON THE COVER!

I didn't think this one would be that hard there's so many covers with a girl on it but I wanted to try and find one that weren't just a standard girl on it, proved a little harder. Now if it were a guy on the cover...oh no wait I'd still be looking at them too for the sheer enjoyment.

Teardrop (Teardrop, #1)
This book isn't even out yet but I love the colors, the dress is water and the bottom just kind of free falls and splashes.

Dance with a Vampire (Vampire Kisses, #4)

I like how she's dress and how the background looks vintage. The book isn't that bad either aimed for the teens to young adult.

Witchling (Otherworld / Sisters of the Moon #1)

Found this book a few years ago though I don't really remember it that good think I'm gonna need to find it again but it was the cover the caught my eye, sexy yet strong and confident with a dark background. and love the way the title is.

Well that mine for this week, what's yours?~

Cover Love Sunday

Cover Love Sunday is a weekly feature hosted at The Quiet Girl Talks, where you choose your 3 favorite covers for each weekly theme. Anybody can do it, just check the Features page for themes ahead of time! :)

This week's theme is...
EYES!

So I found this meme and thought I could find covers I like every week that hopefully fit the theme. To fit with this weeks theme EYES I have for you maybe one of the most well known pair of eyes know in the world that are on the on the cover of this first book.

The Da Vinci Code (Robert Langdon, #2)   Though she is more known for her smile those eyes speak a lot. It is only fitting that this book should feature one of the most known paintings of all time painted of course by Da Vinci. I love that it kinda adds the effect that the painting is, for lack of a better word, deteriorating, but its got all these symbols and numbers, which just adds to what its about. The back ground is red and if you look closely you can see writing.

The Stone Light (Dark Reflections, #2)   It never said it had to be human eyes. This trilogy, The Dark Reflections Trilogy, has such nice covers and they coincide with each other they not only have the similarity, they each feature a half of a face that ties into both the title and the story. The cover for book two is my personal favorite. Its a lion on the cover and a black lion at that, how cool and the color of his eyes strikes you. I happen to be a leo, and I love big cats and of course lions are one of the top ones. ;) It goes along with the story perfectly as you may notice that is a wing a little behind the mane as this isn't just some ordinary lion its a Flying STONE lion, which is a character in the books. It got a perfect title that matches the cover and the story.

Witch (Doppelganger, #2)   Though its almost the same cover as Warrior I like the cover for Witch better. Her eyes just look confident and fierce, only added with the flame red hair. I have yet to get Witch but I have read Warrior. Just by the covers alone you know the main character is a strong woman.
